DIY Embellished Headband!

Hi!!! Okay so have you seen people wearing headbands lately? Me too.  And that's because they are on trend right now, especially the embellished ones.  I do love me a good embellishment. ?? Haha. I started looking for one to buy but just couldn't find the right one.  

1.  It maybe wasn't the right color.  I find that most of them are muted, and I need bright.  

2.  It had TOO many embellishments for me.  Being a natural ingenue (my clothing personality,    which you will find out during a style consultation) I need smaller scale jewels, or I felt like just less of them in general. 

3.  Some of them were kind of expensive.

4. Most of the knots are on the top but I wanted mine a little to the side.

5. Headbands sometimes hurt my head. I wanted to be able to put some padding on mine to lessen that chance.

6.  This is the biggest of them all, I LOVE CRAFTING! Like I truly love creating things.  

So, Joann's had curbside pick up which worked out perfectly.  I roughly followed a tutorial on pinterest from Oh Joy.  They didn't do any embellishments.  I just took 3 gold beads at a time and sewed them on.  It cost me about $10 and took me about 30 minutes.  

Okay if I'm telling the full truth I made one first and ripped it apart because the fabric that I bought and was obsessed with ended up being too thick. 😐 So I had this jersey type bright coral fabric I used instead.  👍 And that worked out just fine! Now my three girls want one!

 Don't judge me on my non painted nails. I need to put some color on those things!
